Book onto a guided tour to explore the above-ground workings of East Pool Mine, from the engine house to the boiler room, walk through the flue tunnel and under the iconic EPAL chimney stack. With its complex of buildings and machinery, including one of the largest Cornish pumping engines, there are plenty of things to discover. East Pool Mine was one of the few Cornish mines that worked into the 20th century and is now part of Cornwall’s Mining World Heritage Site.
Open by pre-booked guided tours. Assistance dogs only are allowed on the tours. There is accessible parking, ramped access and accessible toilet facilities on site. For any accessibility needs please see the website or call the East Pool Mine office.
