About Padstow Distilling
Inspired by the beauty that surrounds us, Padstow Distilling has crafted a selection of award-winning Cornish spirits to bring those who drink them straight to the place that we all love. A true plough-to-bottle spirit with a taste of Padstow in every sip.
Based in Cornwall, at the South-West tip of the UK, Padstow is a popular tourist destination for a reason: the dramatic coastline, turquoise ocean and abundance of wild flora and fauna combined with a rich history, make this an enthralling and beautiful place to live, work and visit.
Founder David McWilliam has a wealth of knowledge in the drinks industry and an infectious passion for the discovery of new flavours. As Padstow Wine Company they made their first gin in 2019 before developing their original barley-based recipes, now made at Padstow Distilling.
Those passing by the area can visit the team for spectacular gin walks and tasting experiences at their 17 Duke Street bar, take part in distillery tours and opt in for a bit of shopping in their Padstow Distilling store. From their Original Padstow Gin to their beloved Padstow Gin Rose, the perfect British gin gifts can be purchased and brought back home.

About the spirit
Their bestselling British gin is made using the finest local Cornish barley, grown at Tregirls farm in Padstow. The barley fields overlook the Camel Estuary above the beach at St George’s Well, swept daily with the ocean breeze. The barley fields overlook the Camel Estuary above the beach at St George’s Well, swept daily with the ocean breeze. Alongside their renowned gins, Padstow Distilling also distil small batches of vodka and rum.
DOUBLE GOLD WINNER!
Navy Padstow Gin won DOUBLE GOLD at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022. Not only that but the distillery also scooped up Gold for Padstow Rose Gin and Silver for our Original Gin and Vodka.
THE BOTANICALS
Mixing tradition with its beautiful location, juniper, citrus and pepper are blended with local Alexanders, an ancient coastal plant full of green, iodine freshness. It is these that David still forages in spring from the cliffs above the beach on the western side of the estuary, giving the Original and Navy Strength gins their refreshing, coastal flavour.
