Tolcarne Beach
Tolcarne Beach’s soft golden sand bay is overlooked by Newquay’s dramatic sea cliffs, joining up with its neighbouring beaches Great Western and Lusty Glaze at low tide. The beautiful crescent bay near the centre of the popular Cornish town offers far-reaching scenic views of the surrounding headlands, whilst offshore, there’s easy swimming and family surfing to be had, and exciting rock pools to explore at low tide. It’s also a popular spot for sea fishing and home of the famed 'Tolcarne Wedge' a heavy wave enjoyed by bodyboarders, that breaks towards the breakwater then rebounds to form the distinctive "Tolcarne Wedge.”
