Pendower Beach

Pendower Beach, like its neighbour Carne, is a beautiful sandy stretch of beach on the Roseland Peninsula and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Situated within Gerrans Bay and overlooked by Nare Head to the east, Pendower Beach is a National Trust owned beach that joins with Carne at low tide to form over a mile of golden shoreline. Backing the beach there are low soft cliffs and rock pools which have been designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI's) due to the area’s biodiverse geology and wildlife.

The pretty village of Veryan, with its thatched round houses, is about a mile inland and the five star Nare Hotel overlooks the beach offering afternoon teas on the lawns.
