Kenneggy Sands Beach
Just one of many secret coves on the south west coast of Cornwall, Kenneggy Sands is a beautifully secluded and unspoilt bay between Helston and Penzance that can only be reached at low tide.
Access the bay via the South West Coast Path from either the popular coastal village of Praa Sands or Prussia Cove. An area rich in smuggling history, pass bricked up cellars that were once used by notorious smugglers, the Carter brothers, whilst the quaint cottages you pass are said to have been built to prevent their activities. When revealed by the tide, this stretch of golden sand is fringed with a rocky outcrop and overlooked by imposing wildflower and heath-covered cliffs.
