Longrock Beach
The perfect local beach, Longrock is a vast stretch of sand and shingle halfway between Penzance and Marazion, with far-reaching views of Mount’s Bay and St Michael’s Mount.
It's a safe, clean family favourite, and a dog-friendly beach year-round*. Being the most easily accessible stretch of sand from nearby Penzance, it’s loved by locals, walkers, families, and dog-lovers, with plenty of space to roam and play and clean water to swim and paddle in.
Swimming here is particularly safe as the water is shallow for quite a long way out. This also makes it a popular spot for windsurfing.
Marazion lifeguards keep an eye on the far eastern end of the beach during the summer months.
** Please note:* Dogs are not allowed on the beach east of the level crossing during July and August (between the hours of 10am - 6pm) when a seasonal dog ban is in place. (2023)
