Talland Bay Beach
Talland Bay can be found nestled midway between Looe and Polperro; its picturesque two coves are separated by a rocky outcrop at high tide and flanked by rolling hills
Within an Area of Outstanding Beauty, Talland Bay is unspoilt and serene; Talland Sands is the bigger of the two coves, with sand at both high tide and low tide, whilst to the east, Rotterdam Beach is small and less sandy.
Both coves boast beautiful crystal-clear sea and are suitable for swimming. With the tide out there are plenty of rock pools to discover between the beaches, great fishing spots, and for those who like to explore further, the boiler of the French trawler ‘Marguerite’ lies amongst the rocks, where it ran aground in 1922.
There are cafes at both beaches and seasonal toilets near the main beach.
Please Note: Access by road to Talland is along narrow lanes and steep hills and parking is limited.
