Hannafore Beach
Hannafore Beach at West Looe is a quiet, shingle beach with some sandy stretches and plenty of rock pools at low tide. It is a quieter alternative from its bustling sandy neighbour at East Looe and popular with dog walkers year-round.
With its long walkable sea wall, Hannafore is accessible to many. There's free parking on the road above and two seasonally open cafes, a putting green, tennis courts and from here you can start the walk along the South West Coast Path to Polperro, about five miles away. Just off the coast is Looe Island, a marine nature reserve and accessible by boat from the harbour.
Hannafore is famed for its rockpooling with easy access to large shallow pools full of starfish, crabs and prawns. The local Marine Conservation group operate regular rockpools rambles throughout the year.
