Charlestown Beach
Charlestown Beach is a small south-facing, sloping pebble and shingle beach beside the historic Grade II Listed Charlestown Harbour near St Austell.
Sit on the beach and take in the views or enjoy a dip, but don’t leave without taking a stroll around this quaint and unspoilt harbour. Charlestown’s quayside has gained recent popularity as a film location for the Poldark series, whilst its fascinating Shipwreck Treasure Museum, and independent restaurants and cafes, also invite visitors from far and wide.
Dogs are not allowed on the beaches from 1st April to 31st October, but welcome the rest of the time.
