A home from home all year round...
With underfloor heating and a wood burning stove, it’s not just for summer; in fact it makes a wonderfully cosy sanctuary from where to watch the winter storms whip up the Atlantic.
The spacious lounge is equipped with a selection of books and games, and the homely kitchen diner comes complete with a warming AGA. Two luxuriously restful bedrooms – both en-suite – promise deep sleep after a long day out in the sea air. Outside, a sunny patio boasts 180 degree views of the ocean, extending out to a large lawned garden bordered by Cornish hedges and farm gates.
The land surrounding Back of Beyond is quite stunning; mysterious, windswept moorland peppered with gorse, engine house ruins and ancient stone circles and quoits.
It would be easy to spend a week cosied up in this little refuge, but if you choose to venture further, there is much to see and do in the local area.
For a truly unique experience, don’t miss the open-air Minack Theatre, carved into the cliff face by local landowner Rowena Cade in the early 1930s.
Captivating St Michael’s Mount is just a short drive away, and Land’s End with its iconic signpost is also within easy reach.
Lovers of good food and drink should also be sure to visit the Gurnard’s Head gastro-pub, just a short stroll.
