Tregathenan is the perfect base for exploring the Lizard and West Cornwall. Here you will find our 3 granite cottages set in a sunny enclosed courtyard each sleep 4/5 people. Tregathenan House has its own peaceful garden and sleeps up to 6. All the accommodation has been thoughtfully converted - each to a different design retaining elements of their original charm and character. The accommodation is equipped to a very high standard and centrally heated throughout, with log burners in some. There is ample private parking.

There are 5 acres to explore, and our friendly alpacas, chickens, ducks and geese to meet. The Wednesday alpaca trek is a must for our guests. Tregathenan is situated at the end of a private drive in a quiet rural location, yet near the ancient market town of Helston and perfect for visiting the many local beaches and gardens, and for coastal and rural walks and bike rides. The Helston railway restoration project is within walking distance.

There is a Playroom across the courtyard with a wide selection of toys, books and games, including table football, to entertain our younger visitors.

We offer a pick-up/drop-off service for SWCP walkers.

    The Cottages at Tregathenan

    The Hayloft is a cosy two-storey cottage providing accommodation for up to four people.  Upstairs, the two dormer style bedrooms offer views across the fields to the sea around Porthleven.

    The Long Barn is a detached single level cottage, popular with younger families and guests who prefer accommodation without stairs.  The cottage has a spacious lounge with feature fireplace, dining area and a well-equipped shaker-style kitchen.

    The Granary, nestles between The Hayloft and the owner’s 17th century farmhouse. The dining room has a French door which opens onto the terrace where you can enjoy meals under the glorious Cornish sun. Upstairs, the light and airy master bedroom has windows to the front and rear affording splendid views over the surrounding countryside.

    “Our family of 10 came across from Australia to join our son and partner for Christmas and New Year and we chose Tregathenan House plus Grannery and Long Barn which worked out perfectly for us all. Being able to be together but separate when we needed to be Liz and Ian were great hosts and location while cold was ideal for short trips or walks in the area. A very enjoyable experience for all us Aussies.”

    Tregathenan House is a period property offering spacious accommodation for 6 people in 3 double/twin bedrooms. Downstairs there is a lovely kitchen/diner with range stove, a snug with a log burner and a separate spacious lounge. The House has its own established garden set to lawn and shrubs and a gravelled patio/BBQ area. Tregathenan is situated at the end of a private drive ‘away from it all’ yet ‘in the middle of it all’.
