Lantic Bay

Lantic Bay is the definition of a ‘hidden gem;’ within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it’s crystal-clear waters, white sand and shingle shoreline, backed by imposing cliffs are the reward for taking on the challenging steep and rocky terrain.

A peaceful haven owned by the National Trust, this beautiful cove between Fowey and Polperro is unspoilt and its remoteness means it's never crowded. There's a National Trust car park on the road to Polruan, or you can walk along the South West Coast Path.

Caution is advised for swimmers, as there can be a strong rip in the bay and the beach shelves dramatically at times.

Access to the beach is across fields and then down a steep rocky path to the beach. It is not suitable for buggys.

There are no lifeguards, toilets or refreshments.
