Mini Keeper Quiz at Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary in Hayle

Keepers need to know about the birds and mammals to be cared for at Paradise Park. So try the quiz and test your knowledge using the map to find the answers and see if you are a Mini Keeper! And once completed claim your special badge!

Paradise Park is home to over 1,200 birds including stunning macaws, flamingos, parrots, cockatoos, owls, lovebirds, plus, beautiful Red Pandas, cute otters, rare Red Squirrels, tiny Harvest Mice, cute donkeys and much more.

Summer daily events include:

• The Penguin colony is fed twice a day and includes a Keeper talk.

• See the new playful otter family being fed in their pool near Otter Pool Café.

• Enjoy the ‘Eagles of Paradise Display’ and see birds of prey like eagles and Tangee the Palm-nut vulture fly free near the Fun Farm, plus, great a up-close photo opportunity at the end of the display when the Keepers bring out one or two of birds of prey and answer questions.

• Experience the ‘Flight of the Rainbows’ with the option to buy some nectar and help feed these wonderful little Lorikeet parrots, in their walk-through Rainbow Aviary in the walled garden.

• The afternoon 'Free Flying Bird Show' includes Amazon parrots, Red-billed choughs and other birds, flying free on the stage and across the picnic lawn with a fascinating Keeper talk. Plus, have a cockatoo fly to your hand at the end of the show! A unique and fun way for the staff and birds to fundraise for Paradise Park’s conservation projects. You have the opportunity to go up on the main stage at the end of the afternoon ‘Free Flying Bird Show’ to give a £1 or £2 donation. Roseate Cockatoos Billy, Rizzo or Rio will be ready to fly to your hand, collect the coin, fly back to the presenter and place it into the collection tin. Great fun and a very popular experience, all for a good cause.

• Help feed the cute Pygmy goats and Ouessant sheep down on the Fun Farm. Each day there are 150 little bags of ‘Goat and Sheep Food’ which are 65p and available on entry.

• On good weather days Zebedee, the Jungle Express Train, will be out for a spin! Small extra charge.

• The huge indoor JungleBarn play centre is fabulous fun whatever the weather. With giant slides, suspended rope bridge, fireman’s pole, multi-level soft play and toddlers’ zone it’s great fun for all the family.

Please note: Daily shows are subject to change or cancellation due to weather.
